How should I take care of my dressings when I am at home?

After a procedure, Dr. Belsley will place your dressings over the surgical area. Once placed, these will not be removed until your first visit with her after the procedure. You should not have to change these in the days following your procedure before your appointment – it may also help your healing to leave these dressings alone until you visit our office.

We understand the desire to shower after a procedure – a good shower can make anyone feel better, but we have to ask you to refrain from this until you have seen Dr. Belsley. For the first few days after surgery, you will only be able to sponge bathe to keep your dressings and any incisions dry.
